About
A few words about the composer... He was born in the Soviet Union in the Seventies. After classical piano training from age 6 to 13 he chose the study of physics, quite deeply as he ended up with a Bachelor Degree from the elite Soviet university (MIPT) in 1997. During that time another music era started to evolve. With personal computers and accompanying audio gear it became relatively easy to compose, record and arrange music. Creativity can be accomplished at home now a days. After learning to play guitar in the college a step toward was made with first home recordings (we are talking about SoundBlaster AWE32 and Pentium times.) However, soon after he moved to the United States, Long Island to enter graduate school. With a somewhat improved financial situation a very modest home studio was built and the recording of a pop-album "Painter's Caprice" took place, mostly for fun and education. (Still Pentium, but AWQE64 Gold with fancy sound fonts and 20MB memory ;)

By now enough of self-confidence was accumulated for recording and arranging of pieces with the most potential, composed from teenage years until 1999. These were just waiting to spill out. Some pieces were started in Russia, some were entirely composed and finished in the states. The equipment was nothing fancy since there were no real instruments or voices to record. (Yep, it's all "fake"... in case you haven't noticed ;) So, Sound Blaster LIVE! with superb SonidoMedia SounFonts plus a bundle of Cakewalk9, Wavelab2 and CoolEdit Pro on a Celeron computer did the job. The album "Games of wind and waves", dedicated to composer's Grandmother, Valentina,
was released this summer, July 2000.

As for now the recording of the third album is in progress, based on old and new material
accumulated over almost ten years. This time, unlike the first album it is going to be a rock album, mostly with live instruments and minimum MIDI. Besides there's enough material for the fourth album, again instrumental called "In the realm of dark moods". It will hopefully end up on this site as soon as it's done and even before at DEMO section in the Music chapter.
